One of Sydney‘s most feared underworld figures, Tarek Ayoub — known as the ‘Angel of Death‘ — was shot dead in an execution-style hit outside an apartment block in Parramatta this morning. A 29-year-old man was shot multiple times in a ‘targeted’ and ‘execution-style murder’.
The Incident
Ayoub was on his way to the car park of a Parramatta unit complex shortly before 3.30 am after a meeting with one of his cronies late last night when he was ambushed by the assassin or assassins. Ayoub died at the scene despite being attended to by emergency services. Then, a stolen sedan was discovered torched in nearby Granville after the shooting.

Residents were on alert and law enforcement agencies were concerned with the brazenness of the shooting, fearing what could be retaliatory violence. Superintendent Doherty told the public that efforts were being made to quash and disrupt any subsequent criminal activities following Ayoub’s death.
