Following news that Sony and Marvel have hired several key heads of production for “Spider-Man 4”. Sources tell us prominent roles are starting to be filled as well, along with the rumor mill going bonkers over whispers Sydney Sweeney could join. While nothing has been officially announced yet, the rumor is getting fans a little hot and bothered over the prospects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Those casting in favor of her dialectic extemporary likeness were apportioned vociferously, contending that even if Sydney Sweeney was a rising star (her last film “Madam Web” didn’t do well at the box office), she could have turned out to be an unplanned perfect choice. However, Eternals looks like it will be the first time Sweeney is given a real chance in Hollywood, and her talent and undeniable star power have made her fan casting favorite for the iconic anti-heroine Black Cat.
Black Cat, aka Felicia Hardy, is much loved amongst the Spectacular Spider-Man comic book fans. Considered most synonymous with her tumultuous history alongside Spider-Man as both a friend and foe If the rumors are correct, Sweeney’s Black Cat might provide a new and unique take on the character.
That said, as they wait for this to be made official most of the excitement and speculation are all still there. Perhaps Sydney Sweeney will be the next to go black and enter an MCU?
