Lovepreet Singh was arrested for killing Omkar Singh, the man who had raped his sister ten years ago. The tragic incident took place in 2015 when Lovepreet’s sister was brutally raped by Omkar Singh. Omkar was sentenced to ten years in prison but was released early during the COVID-19 lockdown.
On August 28, Lovepreet, along with his friend Akashdeep, attacked Omkar Singh with a sharp weapon in Kapurthala. While Akashdeep was arrested soon after the incident, Lovepreet managed to evade the police for a while before being caught. The police found Omkar Singh’s body near Vishanpur Jatta village.
