Green Bay, WI – In a heartbreaking moment for Packers fans, quarterback Jordan Love suffered an apparent lower leg injury in the final seconds of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The injury occurred with just six seconds left on the clock, as Love was attempting to make a play to keep his team’s hopes alive.
The Packers were trailing 34-29 when Love was hit by two Eagles defenders and brought to the ground. He stayed down on the field, clearly in pain, before being helped off by team doctors. Backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in for the final two plays but was unable to turn the game around.
Love had a solid performance before the injury, completing 17 of 34 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The severity of his injury is still unknown, and Packers coach Matt LaFleur said after the game, “I don’t know” when asked about Love’s condition.
This injury is a significant concern for the Packers, who have high hopes for Love this season. Fans and teammates alike are hoping for a speedy recovery for their star quarterback.
