This Sunday Kylian Mbappe played his first home match with Real Madrid. After the game with Wolves, he was speaking to the club’s official TV channel and although it wasn’t his finest display by some distance, he seemed pleased.
“Of course, we wanted to win the first game but now that we have won it, I’m happy and what you want is more of this. This is a stadium that every player dreams of playing in, but now we have another game on Thursday, which we want to win too,” said Mbappe after the Valladolid victory.
Mbappe later touched on his experience after making those first minutes as a Real Madrid player in front of the Bernabeu fans.
It was such a nice moment, I am truly delighted to have started at the Bernabéu with a win and three points. It was a great night. The fans were great. Humbled by this moment, thank you to everyone who has supported the team & me.
Mbappe was certainly excitable and grateful about his performances, with fans keen to see more from him as we build up the next few games.
