An Indian Bus, with over 40 people on board, veered off a road and plunged into the Marsyangdi River in Nepal’s Tanahun district of central Himalayas Friday leading to at least 14 deaths.
The bus, operated by Shree Khantamani Travels Pvt Ltd that was travelling to Kathmandu from Pokhara, originated in Gorakhpur.
So far, 29 passengers have been rescued and brought to Meerut; they all are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
ANI reported DSP Deepkumar Raya from the Tanahun District Police Office as saying that there is no rescue operation going on around this area, but instead, the bus has come to rest at a part of the river bank.
