Hayden Panettiere is opening up about her journey to healing after the shock of her younger brother Jansen Panettiere’s sudden death in 2023. Jansen died because of an enlarged heart and complications from his aortic valve.
She felt the loss of her brother like losing “half of my soul,” Hayden said. Being a protective sibling, Hayden was the only sibling. The grieving wore her down emotionally and physically, gaining a lot of weight and developing agoraphobia-a fear that makes it difficult to leave her house.
Wellbeing and exercise became Hayden’s ways of dealing with her loss. Her trainer, Marnie Alton, supported Hayden not only in the field of fitness but also became a great friend and a life coach for her. Together they would go on long walks and would have therapeutic conversations that really helped Hayden heal.
Hayden’s story reminds one to seek support and strive to find healthy ways of dealing with grief. Her journey showed that though the pain of losing a loved one never actually goes away, there is a way out through which a person can heal.
