Perth-born PR agent Billy Daniels brings comic relief to the scandalous new reality show ‘Made in Bondi

“PR agent Billy Daniels might not describe his childhood in Perth’s northern suburbs as filled with jaw-dropping cliffs and fashion launches, but as a cast member of Seven’s new reality show *Made in Bondi*, he’s proud to highlight his A-list lifestyle in Sydney.

The first episode, airing Tuesday night, will reveal the enviable lives of the East Coast’s young elite, showcasing the exclusive party scene and rugged beauty of this iconic Australian borough.

Reflecting on his youth in Hillarys, where he grew up as a beach nipper and St Mark’s student, Daniels acknowledged that his current ‘cosmopolitan life’ is a far cry from his West Coast roots.

A move to London early in his career exposed the 32-year-old to a faster pace, one that he’s fully embraced since.

‘I love being in the city. I love eating at the best restaurants. That’s the space I work in now, and the people I work with,’ he said. ‘Sydney is just the perfect city for that.'”

Although Daniels fits effortlessly into Bondi’s picturesque setting, he revealed that he’s the only cast member who didn’t apply to be on the show.

The PR professional owes his involvement to his stylist-to-the-stars friend, Paul Versace, with whom he formed a close bond through Sydney’s Fashion Week and other shared glamorous interests.

“He was already part of the cast, and we happened to work together organically, which overlapped with the show. The producers then approached me, and that’s how I ended up being involved,” he explained.

“So, I didn’t go through the casting process.”
